35th S. Bus Rapid Transit

Please note: Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) implementation along 3500 South has been delayed until summer 2008. Routes 35 and 335 will not experience changes in April 2008 other than minor schedule adjustments to improve reliability and connectivity. For more info, click here.

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is an enhanced way to provide faster, prioritized bus service in specific corridors. BRT offers transit users speed and dependability similar to light rail without its infrastructure costs. With BRT service, buses travel in a set corridor and use signal prioritization to move through streets more quickly. Passengers board BRT vehicles at stop areas spaced like light rail stations, every mile in suburban areas and every quarter-mile in central business districts.
